Ancestral skills, backed by research and 30 years of teaching
I'm Dr. Theresa Emmerich Kamper, an experimental archaeologist (PhD, University of Exeter) and author of a published book on leather analysis. I've spent the last 30 years practising and researching traditional tanning and ancestral skills, working with museums and in the field around the world. You may also have seen some of that work on TV, including Alone Season 8 and Surviving the Stone Age.
Below you'll find practical answers about the courses I offer — from what to bring to what to expect. New questions are added regularly.
