It was one of the most incredible and challenging experiences of my life, pushing me far out of my comfort zone and testing my problem-solving skills to their limits. Living in the unforgiving wilderness, relying solely on my skills and resilience was both humbling and exhilarating. Beyond the survival aspect, though, the show is a deep dive into the human spirit – the strength we find within when stripped bare of our social support network. It's about the quiet moments of connection with nature, the mental fortitude required to keep going, and the profound self-discovery that comes from being utterly alone. It’s a journey I’ll never forget!

Experiencing "Surviving the Stone Age" was a transformative journey. In the show, you see our group fully immersed in the world of our Paleolithic ancestors, tackling the daily necessities of life with only the skills and resources available during that era. From the painstaking process of knapping tools and constructing basic shelters, to the constant quest for sustenance and the ever-present awareness of the natural world. Every moment was a profound lesson in resilience and ingenuity.

The TV show, which was produced by Channel 4, received great reviews, but unfortunately, it is no longer running. Which is too bad, as it was a whole lot of fun!

Beyond my on-screen adventures, I'm also deeply involved in bringing the past to life through other avenues, and a key part of that is hands-on teaching. I offer engaging lectures that delve into the fascinating world of ancient skills and technologies, and I provide expert leather artefact analysis for museums and researchers seeking deeper insights into historical objects.

Additionally, I enjoy creating museum replicas and consulting on exhibits to help connect audiences with the tangible remnants of the past.

For those wanting a more immersive experience, I teach courses and workshops worldwide, offering practical, hands-on instruction in ancient technologies, bushcraft and outdoor living skills.

If you're interested in learning more about these services, including my teaching opportunities and courses, or exploring potential collaborations, please don't hesitate to get in touch – I'd be delighted to discuss how I can contribute to your project or event, wherever you are in the world.
