The History Channel’s ‘Alone’ is an immensely popular TV series that features survival specialists putting their skills to the ultimate test; left in remote wilderness locations with limited gear and no food. In the Fall of 2020, season 8 of Alone saw 10 such experts put their skills to the test when they were left to brave the untamed wild of our very own Chilko Lake with the winner lasting 74 days, walking away with the $500,000 prize money.

In May of 2023 The Chilko Experience is offering something special for Alone fans. In addition to our standard all-inclusive offering we will be hosting Dr Theresa Emmerich, an Alone contestant who resided at Chilko Lake for 69 days solely on her wits and survival skills. We’re offering guests a unique opportunity to encounter the same remote wilderness of BC coupled with the exquisite luxury, fine dining and total comfort  of The Chilko Experience. For those interested, Theresa will share the back story of the Alone production as she experienced it. This will include tours of the various camp sites, a review of the survival equipment selected and the physical and mental aspects of such an adventure.
